Self-Collection
Self-collection means the sample — a finger-prick blood spot, urine, saliva, or a swab — is collected by you at home and mailed to a lab, rather than drawn at a facility. It trades a clinic visit for convenience and privacy. Collection quality matters: services differ in kit design, instructions, and how often samples need recollection, which is worth checking in their published support pages.
