How we make money

A higher commission cannot move a service up a list, and no company can pay for a review, a placement, or a score. We compare on the published rubric, full stop. When two services are close, we say so and tell you what breaks the tie for different situations — we do not manufacture a winner to sell a click.
No fabricated credentials, no fabricated testing
LabScored is written by a pseudonymous editorial desk. We are researchers and editors — not doctors, nurses, or lab scientists — and no byline on this site claims a medical credential, because none exists here. We also never fabricate hands-on experience: we have not ordered or taken the tests we compare, and you will never read a staged first-person testing story on this site. Privacy, dignity, and audience
Testing is personal. We write about STDs, fertility, and paternity in a neutral, clinical register — no shame, no scare tactics, no clickbait about anyone's health. We emphasize what services publish about discretion and data handling because readers told the whole category it matters. Our content is written for adults; none of it targets minors.
Corrections & freshness
Services change panels, prices, and policies, and we get things wrong sometimes. When we update a comparison, the date you see reflects a real change to the page — we do not stamp a fresh year on stale work. Spot an error? Tell us and we will fix it.
