The Comparison the Category Was Missing

LabScored is the decision-stage desk for at-home lab testing — the part between a search and a checkout where you just want to know how the services actually differ.

At-home testing has no shortage of glossy landing pages. What it lacks is a straight, side-by-side answer to the questions that matter when you are ready to buy: which STD panel covers what, how fast do results actually post, what does the privacy policy really say, lab visit or mail-in kit? That buyer-decision middle mostly gets handed to the services' own marketing. We built LabScored to cover it independently.

We do it as a research desk, not a clinic. We compare services from what is actually published — panel menus, pricing pages, lab certifications, stated turnaround times, and privacy policies — and we keep the comparisons current as services change. We are not doctors or laboratory scientists, we have not taken the tests we compare, and we never pretend otherwise. For background on testing itself we lean on primary sources like the CDC and FDA, by name.

One line we hold everywhere on this site: nothing here is medical advice. Whether to test, when to test, and what a result means for you are questions for a licensed healthcare provider. What we can do — carefully — is make the shopping part of the decision honest: what each service offers, what it costs, and how it handles your data.
